Look what eagle-eyed PCNC 1100 owner Dave Hultman spotted in in the background of a January 6, 2013, 60 Minutes CBS News interview between host Charlie Rose and IDEO co-founder David Kelley! That's a Tormach PCNC 1100, making a cameo appearance in the segment highlighting IDEO's world-renowned innovation. Kelley, a pioneer in a problem-solving methodology he terms "design thinking," has created a diverse corporate culture that encourages building, making, and tinkering with improving the customer experience as the main objective. Tormach mills have been on the Discovery Channel Cable TV and PBS before, but I think this is the first time ever on a Network station. Here's a link to the 60 minutes segment.
