Workholding is a vital component to the machining process – after all, proper holding keeps parts from flying across the room during cutting. It’s especially important when you need to stay within tight tolerances or cutting oddly-shaped parts.

Tormach machinist, Scott Johnson, provides some insight about one of the most important, yet under-emphasized, elements of machining - workholding.
