The Internet can be a wasteland of information, but it can also be incredibly helpful – the challenge is navigating through it to find the most valuable and accurate information. How-tos, and general knowledge about CNC and machining can be even more challenging to navigate. While there are piles of resources to help you discover your machining prowess, these are our top resources to help make anybody a better machinist.
The number of customers that have Tormach machines has grown quite a bit over the years, and with customers, the community has expanded as well. Today, we’ve announced the list of our official Tormach Brand Ambassadors. Makers, machinists, entrepreneurs, roboticists, and so much more, these Tormach owners are exemplifying everything that Tormach machinery is capable of creating.
Many know of John Saunders (aka NYC CNC) and John Grimsmo (of Grimsmo Knives) and the work that they have done with their Tormach machines. Now, we’re introducing Robert Cowan. With a background in engineering, Robert is involved in the maker community and has previously used TTS tools on his home-made CNC. Now, he has a PCNC 440, and we can’t wait to see what he does with it.

Tormach’s 2015 open house (#Tormach2015) went off with resounding success. Tormach’s technical staff spent the day giving seminars and presentations on various aspects of the Tormach machinery, and guests mulled through an Open House Only Sale.
Our second annual open house opens tomorrow, bright and early at 8:30. We were hoping to have 150 visitors registered before Saturday, instead we managed 192! There is still room, so RSVP and help us reach 200. Last year’s first annual open house was a fantastic success, but this year we’re looking to set the bar higher with seminars on everything from CAM and workholding to small business applications for Tormach equipment.
