Tormach’s Face Knurling Concept in Action

knurlingtool 2BadgerWorks, our prototyping shop, has been buzzing with activity. Earlier this week we showed off a tool that one of our machinists had been working on – a face knurling tool. Utilizing a lathe threading tool and some creative customization with one of our TTS Machinable Blanks, we developed a quick and dirty, yet capable, face knurling tool. With a bit of luck to provide the proper angle of the insert on the threading tool, we were cutting aluminum and steel. We put the tool to work right away.
